Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using REWRITE ("the Service"), operated by REWRITE LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

2. Description of Service

REWRITE is a vocal biomarker coaching platform that provides:

• A 30-day interactive narrative coaching experience
• Voice recording and analysis for emotional biomarker insights
• AI-powered coaching prompts and personalized feedback
• Optional integration with human coaching professionals

REWRITE is a personal development tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic services. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

3. Accounts & Registration

To access the full Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

You may use the Service as a guest for a limited preview (Days 1–3). Guest data is stored locally on your device and may be lost if you clear your browser data.

4. Free Trial & Paid Subscription

Free Access: Days 1–3 of the REWRITE experience are available at no cost to all users.

Paid Subscription: Access to Days 4–30 requires an active subscription at $19.99/month or $179/year (~$14.92/month). Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Promo Codes: Select users may receive promotional codes granting free access. Promo codes are non-transferable and subject to expiration at our discretion.

Billing: Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at info@rewrite.guru. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first payment. If you are not satisfied, contact info@rewrite.guru within 7 days of your initial charge for a full refund.

After the 7-day window, refunds are issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. We will not issue refunds for partial months of service.

6. Voice Data & Recordings

REWRITE collects voice recordings as part of its vocal biomarker analysis. By using the voice features, you consent to the following:

• Processing: Voice recordings are analyzed to extract emotional biomarkers (stress, confidence, emotional engagement, cognitive load, authenticity).
• Storage: Raw audio recordings are processed and deleted within 24 hours. Only aggregated biomarker scores are retained.
• Coach Sharing: If you connect with a coach, they receive biomarker trends and scores only — never raw recordings or transcripts. You must provide explicit consent before any data is shared with a coach.
• No Third-Party Sale: We never sell your voice data or biomarker information to third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the REWRITE platform — including story text, character designs, coaching prompts, biomarker algorithms, software code, visual design, and branding — is the exclusive property of REWRITE LLC and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any REWRITE content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or subscription access with others
• Attempt to circumvent payment, access controls, or time gates
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or redistribute content
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Communications & Reminders

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your account and subscription. You may optionally opt into:

• Email reminders (daily at 10am ET) with story teasers and coaching insights
• SMS reminders (daily at 8am ET) with short narrative hooks

You may change your reminder preferences at any time. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional emails related to billing or account changes.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Vocal biomarker analysis will be 100% accurate
• The Service will meet your specific expectations or requirements
• Any results or personal growth outcomes are guaranteed

REWRITE is a personal development tool, not a medical device. Vocal biomarker insights are informational and should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REWRITE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting info@rewrite.guru. Upon termination:

• Your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current billing period
• Your voice biomarker data will be deleted within 30 days
• Your account data will be removed per our data retention policy

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts.
